Low molecular weight, water-soluble saccharide complexes of oxovanadium(IV) have been synthesized and characterized by analytical, spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques. All the complexes were found to be mononuclear, possessing the VO2+ moiety. These are shown to be hydrolytically and oxidat
