Cancarb appoints European agents for its Thermax thermal blacks

Cancarb (of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada) -one of the world's leading suppliers of thermal-route (as distinct from furnace-route) carbon black -is planning to step up its export activity in Europe. The company recently appointed Nordman Rassmann (of Hamburg) as its agent for the German and Austrian markets. It also appointed IMCD (headquartered in Rotterdam) as its agent for the Czech market.

Cancarb's thermal carbon black is marketed under the Thermax brandname. Within the spectrum of carbon black grades, Thermax has the largest particle size and one of the lowest degrees of particle aggregation. Since it is derived from natural gas, it is also one of the purest forms of carbon available on an industrial scale. Thermal blacks are quite widely used in rubber, metallurgy, plastics, insulation, concrete and graphite products.
