I’m going to cut to the chase and categorically state the following: this is not a story about the pandemic. In no way is it meant to reflect the ordeal of living in lockdown.Down my end of the world, Melbourne experienced the severest lockdown (our second one), enduring 111 days of a stay at home order, with travel restricted to no further than 5 km (3 miles) for absolute necessities.While these severe steps proved to be successful, the repercussions of such restrictions have been felt across the community and cannot be taken lightly.I cannot emphasize this enough – this story in no way reflects real life events of 2020.
