## Abstract The results of the direct analysis of the ABX spin system present in two symmetrical diphosphonates containing a single vinylic ^13^C nucleus are presented. This allows a comparison to be made with the twoβdimensional methods used by Beckmann __et al.__ Significant differences are found

β¦ Synopsis
Quantitative bounds for the nonlinear perturbation of linear time-invariant continuous-time systems simulated using two-step matrix integrators are obtained. These bounds ensure that systems being simulated using two-step integrators remain stable under such perturbations.
The effJ;?ct of the sampling time T on the bounds is investigated via numerical examples.
