✦ Synopsis

The continuously variable transmission control system consists of generation of a desired gear ratio and a servo gear ratio system. The servo gear ratio system must provide the desired response at all times without being influenced by external disturbances. These include oil pressure as well as variation in performance due to operating conditions or changes in control system characteristics with use. We have developed the servo gear ratio system incorporating a robust model matching method, which enables the continuously variable belt transmission to satisfy this performance requirement.
