## Abstract Apoptotic cells are known to regulate the ordered dismantling of intercellular contacts through caspase activity. Despite the important role of desmoglein (Dsg) 2 in epithelial cellโcell adhesion, the fate of this widespread desmosomal cadherin during apoptosis is yet poorly understood.
