It gives us very great pleasure to announce that the winner of the AIC Deane B. Judd Award for 2003 is Prof. Dr. Mitsuo Ikeda. Dr. Miyoshi Ayama has prepared the following citation: The AIC Deane B. Judd Award is one of the most honorable awards in the fields of color vision, color science, and color technology. This award was created in 1975 to honor the memory of Deane B. Judd. Every two years since that time, the AIC has carried out a laborious process of selection of the recipients for this award.
It is my pleasure to announce Prof. Mitsuo Ikeda as the recipient of the 2003 Judd Award. Among the great accomplishments of Prof. Mitsuo Ikeda, his dedicated educational and research contribution to the field of vision and color psychophysics should be addressed first.
