Optimized ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) conditions for cyclohexenyl norbornene (CHNB) have been determined. ROMP of CHNB was carried out with ruthenium trichloride hydrate and ruthenium benzylidene catalysts. The effects of mol % catalyst, type of catalyst, use of a dissolution aid (
