Using magnetic group theory, the degeneracy of the plane eigenwa¨es in bianisotropic media is studied. The relationships between ( ) different anti elements of symmetry and the four types of degeneracy and the three types of bidirectionality are defined. The results of the analysis are ¨erified by direct solutions of the dispersi¨e equations for se¨eral media.
