The suspension of a two-degree-of-freedom (2-DOF) vehicle travelling on a randomly corrugated road is optimized with respect to both road holding and ride comfort. Optimal comfort is defined as a minimum mean value of the largest maxima of a stationary Gaussian random process. This process is the ve
