Nitronex Corporation now offers GaN-on-Si epitaxial wafers. Currently, SiC and sapphire are the substrate materials of choice for certain GaNbased products, such as LEDs and laser diodes. However, there are a range of application and market opportunities for GaN-on-Si technology.These include high temperature and hall sensors, switches, MEMS, high frequency MMICs, military radar and communications, and RF power transistors.
