✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Rhombic polyaniline microsheets constituted of nanoparticles with the average diameter of 130 nm were synthesized and characterized by SEM, XRD and FTIR spectroscopy. A glassy carbon electrode modified with such rhombic polyaniline microsheets was fabricated and employed to detect dopamine via cyclic voltammetry, which displayed excellent electrochemical stability and sensitivity compared with the bare electrode. A linear relationship between the concentrations of dopamine and its oxidation peak currents was obtained. The proposed method was simple and economical in terms of the electrochemical method and apparatus.

## Abstract TiO~2~ nanoparticles show interesting catalytic and optical properties and are therefore highly demanded for several applications. In this paper, we show that pure and N‐doped TiO~2~ powders with an average diameter as low as 8 nm can be synthesized by laser pyrolysis, with the use of a

Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry was used to study melanogenesis starting from Dopa and dopamine, the latter considered one of the precursors of neuromelanins. These substrates were left to react with the peroxidase-H 2 O 2 system, which is postulated to play an
