✦ Synopsis

Rhodia acquires Grace washcoats

WR Grace has divested its washcoat assets to Rhodia. Washcoats have applications in the production of automotive emission-control catalysts, which are used in catalytic converters. Rhodia said the washcoats business boosts its rare earth-product portfolio for automotive emission-control systems. Grace's production plant in Cincinnati, USA, is included in the sale.
