โฆ Synopsis
The end of the 20th century and the dawn of the 21st century is but a few years away. Many years from now, the current century will probably be remembered as a century of great socioeconomic experiments on a global scale in which we learned that capitalism-an ideology founded on self interest and private ownership of economic means-is genuinely better for economic development than the command system that disavowed them. In 1997, two books were published and set out to explain-a bit nostalgically-the dynamics of capitalism that unleashed a neck-breaking pace of economic growth during the 20th century in contrast t o an anemic economic growth that had preceded it over many hundreds of years.
