Two graphite oxides were prepared by a subsequent two-step oxidation of commercial graphite. The samples were then reduced with hydrazine hydrate. Surface characterization before and after exposure to ammonia was carried out using X-ray diffraction, Fouriertransform infrared spectroscopy, potentiome
