Fmaritridine and fwnaritrine are not spirobenzy~isoquinolines. Rather, they are indenobenzasepines so that fwnaritridine is represented by expression 10 and fwnaritrine by 11. Treat-ment of dikydroparfwnine ( 6) and dikydroparfwnidine 171 with trifluoroacetic ankydride followed by quenching with methanol gives 10 and g, respectiveZy.
