Haile worked hard over the 1995-1996 year to recruit members, to officially establish the DAT SIG within the AERA, to set up a DAT SIG account and financial plan, and to establish sessions on the AERA program for 1996. Dr. Zuga sent out a Call for Papers, oversaw the review of, and selection process for paper submissions, and organised the sessions. DAT SIG members extend their gratitude to Dr. Zuga and Dr. Haile for their hard work in getting the DAT SIG 'up and running'.
