โœฆ Synopsis

The general theory of stimulated radiation is applied to four-photon coherent Raman scattering. A comparison with the theory of the two-photon scattering is presented. Some peculiarities of the stimulated Raman scattering such as radiation asymmetry, replication effects, rings of the Raman components are considered based on the theory for coherent processes.

## Abstract The effects of different linear polarization schemes on the noisy lightโ€based coherent antiโ€Stokes Raman scattering [I^(2)^CARS] signal were investigated. It was found that certain polarization schemes can selectively shut down the contributions from terms represented by various factori
