✦ Synopsis

The doubly boron-bridged diferrocene [CpFe{C 5 H 3 (BPh) 2 C 5 H 3 }FeCp] represents the first example of a 1,2-diborylated ferrocene. Controlled conformational changes in this rigid redox-active bifunctional Lewis acid species can be triggered either through redox chemistry or the binding of nucleophiles. For more details, see the Communication by F. Jäkle and co-workers on the following pages.
