✦ Synopsis
We present a case where during accidental puncture of the profunda femoris artery the plastic coating of a hydrophilic guidewire was stripped off against the bevel of a metal needle. This lay coiled in the profunda femoris artery. It was retrieved using an Amplatz gooseneck snare from an ipsilateral antegrade common femoral artery puncture. Cathet.
