Sixteen premature infants were treated with indomethacin, either orally or intravenously, in order to close a symptomatic patent ductus arteriosus requiring mechanical ventilation. Positive effect was obtained in 4 of the 10 orally treated patients and in 1 of the 6 with intravenous administration.

β¦ Synopsis
At the previous meeting of the Club Jules Gonin 17 patients with retinopathy of prematurity who had been treated with cryotherapy were reported. This study has been continued and today 28 patients with Plus disease in Stage 3 ROP have had one eye assigned to cryotherapy. It appears that in this small sample population treatment is to be preferred over no treatment.
