Abstract

Making a responsible grant requires a thoughtful and well‐articulated statement of intent and an implementation process that is developed and followed by the family members. The emphasis should be on fulfilling agreed‐upon objectives in the most effective, efficient, and consensual way, and the process should encourage the emergence of future leadership.
