Grafts of primary carcinogen (DMBA)-induced mammary carcinomas from Sprague-Dawley rats have a poor transplantation efficiency in athymic nude mice. Further compromising these mice immunologically via whole-body irradiation and/or splenectomy, or the administration of hormonal growth factors (estrog
