Reclamation of sodic soils requires soluble calcium for exchange of absorbed sodium and adequate flow of water through and beyond the root zone to remove soluble sodium salts. Therefore, reclamation requires a combination of chemical (gypsum application) and mechanical (ploughing) measures. Traditio
