β¦ Synopsis
1], for we believe that controversial discussions should be part of scientific exchange.
In the first paper [2] cited by Dr. Chaouat, the authors state that maternal T cell recognition of fetal antigens (Ag) can lead to Ag-specific tolerance. The authors of this study [2] have shown that not only the maternal immune system responds to the fetus, but it is actively tolerized by it. Interestingly, these results reveal that there are multiple mechanisms of peripheral tolerance
