Dear Editor
May I refer to the brief entry in the "News" section, Cryogenics, March 1985, p. 166, and specifically to misleading statements made about a superconducting magnet for Canada, It should be recorded that Cryogenic Consultants Limited has, in facL supplied a number of 15 T magnets for Quantum Hall Effect research, and has recently achieved 15.8 T using filamentary Nb3Sn conductor. We believe that this is the current world record for superconducting magnets of this type.
