BOOK REVIEWS

Chapters 5 and 6 are excellent and reflective summaries of the respective topics of mineral and energy resources. Also the editors are to be commended for ensuring a consistently high standard of illustrative material, some of it in colour, and up to date factual coverge. The standard of proof reading, English style and referencing. although not perfect, is well above average for a work of this type. D. K. CHESTER At a price of f35.00, it is a pious hope to suppose that students will purchase this volume, but for the teacher of courses in applied earth science and resource management, it is a useful reference text and is strongly recommended for library purhase.
