## Abstract In this letter, we propose RC and LC nonlinear sinusoidal ring oscillator structures which can also generate subsidiary quadrature outputs. A tanh(__x__) nonlinearity is employed and is explicitly separated from the oscillators' linear building block (a firstβorder allβpass filter). Num

β¦ Synopsis
Evaluation of the x-and z-directed currents for the EH n mode will reveal the mode order of this mode. These currents are given in Figure 6, and are typical of the x-and z-directed currents found on an open microstrip for an EH leaky mode 1 Ε½ w x. compare 9 . Therefore, EH appears to be another mode n with a similar current distribution to the EH mode, which is 1 excited by the introduction of an air gap.
For the data presented, the operating point at which the coupling occurs is at a much lower frequency than what the antenna would normally operate at in order to radiate effectively into the half space; therefore, the coupling will not affect the operational bandwidth of the antenna.
CONCLUSION
Ε½
. Air gaps greater than 4 mm f 5d provide little change to the performance of a microstrip leaky-wave antenna with the structural parameters given in Figure 1.
An air gap situated between a microstrip leaky-wave antenna and a half space can provide coupling between the first higher mode and a new mode. This coupling occurs as the air gap thickness is changed.
