## Abstract A generalized method is presented to determine the resonant frequency of slotβloaded rectangular microstrip patch antenna by equating its area to an equivalent area of a rectangular microstrip patch antenna. The computed results are in good agreement with the reported simulated and meas

β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Theory of resonant frequency of an annular ring antenna with asymmetric multiple shorting posts is presented using modified Cavity Model. The posts are thin in diameter with respect to the diameter of ring. For accurate formulation, the shorting posts have been considered as inductive impedances at the frequency of interest. It is shown that for asymmetric loaded ring, TM~11~ is the dominant mode. The simple tool presented can be suitably modified to incorporate switching diodes or varactor diodes. No¨el dual-frequency operation of a single-feed rectangular microstrip antenna with an embedded reacti¨e loading is presented. The reacti¨e loading is pro¨ided by a structure of two cascaded microstrip-line sections embedded within a rectangular slot cut in the patch. By selecting suitable dimension
A new design of a slot-loaded rectangular microstrip antenna for single-feed dual-frequency operation is proposed and experimentally studied. The slots loaded in the patch are a pair of bent slots centered in the patch and oriented along the resonant direction, with the spacing between the two slots
## Abstract Dualβfrequency operation is achieved from a compact microstrip antenna by loading a pair of narrow slots close to its radiating edges. The two frequencies have parallel polarization planes and similar radiation characteristics. The ratio between the two operating frequencies can be tune
