β¦ Synopsis
One of the approaches to reducing the size of halfwavelength linear dipole antennas is the meander dipole antenna, where the elements form a meander line. This paper presents a formula for the relationship between the geometrical size and the resonant frequency of the meander line dipole antenna, and a calculation formula for the radiative efficiency is derived from the result. It is shown that the geometrical parameters of the meander line dipole antenna can be determined from the specified radiative efficiency.

A reflector placed near a cellular telephone antenna is proposed to increase its radiation efficiency. In this study, a half wavelength dipole antenna at 900 MHz is treated as a cellular telephone model and a small plate reflector is placed between the antenna and a ( ) human head-sized phantom mode
A new method for calculating the resonant frequency of electrically thin and thick rectangular microstrip antennas, based on the fuzzy inference systems, is presented. The optimum design parameters of the fuzzy inference systems are determined by using the classical, modified, and improved tabu sear
