Surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering spectroscopy was apphed 10 measure the vibrational spectra of mesctetramcthylporphine (IMP), meso-letraethylporphine VP). and their nickel complexes in layered structures having CaF+amplc/Ag (strucrurc I) and c_sF,/Ag/samplc (structure II) configurations. The surraoc spectra clearly prove thaL when the samples come into contact wilh Ag atoms (slructure I) or a vacuuti,deposited Ag film (struclure II), they undergo chemical processes such as meral-incorporation and melal-exchange reactions, and a structural change
