Time-resolved luminescence spectra of chinese tea solution were measured at 300 K. The results show single exponential decay with 5 ns decay time for luminescence bands of 763 nm and 713 nm. The value of the decay time is almost the same as that for chlorophyll and other organic dye molecules.
## Molecular band spectra, of which UV spectra are a particular class, are so named because observed lines of absorption have finite width, and represent the envelope, or summed effect, of numerous narrow bands comprising the spectral fine structurt:. UV spectra of absorbing entities in soluti, ons
