✦ Synopsis

A novel immune algorithm was proposed by imitating the defending process of an immune system, and with the aid of genetic algorithm, application of the immune algorithm to the resolution of overlapping chromatograms was investigated. The method takes an overlapping chromatogram as its input and iteratively subtract the estimated chromatographic information of every component from the input until the residual does not change. Both simulated and experimental data sets were investigated by this method. It was proven that this method is a convenient tool for the resolution of overlapping chromatograms.
