✦ Synopsis
Selection of sites by narrow-banded detection and by electron-electron double resonance results in an enhancement of the resolution in the absorbancedetected triplet-ESR spectra in zero field and in the triplet-singJet absorbancedifference spectrum. The method is applied to reaction centers of the photosynthetic bacterium Rps. sphaeroides R-26_ New structure in the 890 nm absorption band is made visible, which is possibly caused by charge-transfer interaction in the Bchl a dimer makinp up the primary electron donor.
