✦ Synopsis

It is shown that, in the presence of strong heteronuclear dipolar couplings, resolution can be signiÐcantly improved in solid-state multiple quantum magic angle spinning NMR experiments on half integer quadrupolar nuclei by applying composite decoupling schemes during triple quantum evolution and acquisition. Reduction of the e †ects of heteronuclear dipolar coupling during the multiple quantum evolution period is shown to lead to improved resolution of 27Al sites in crystalline chiolite and 11B sites in a polyborazilene (Na 5 Al 3 F 14 ) sample.

## Abstract Recently, a sequence for heteronuclear dipolar decoupling in solid‐state NMR, namely SW~__f__~‐TPPM, was introduced by us. Under magic‐angle spinning (MAS), the decoupling efficiency of the sequence was unaffected over a range of values for various experimental parameters such as the pu
