## Abstract ZnO:Co thin films are prepared by electrochemical deposition at different overpotentials and investigated by scanning electron microscopy, optical spectroscopy, and cathodoluminescence, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Kerr magnetometry (MOKE). An increase of structural disorder and
