β¦ Synopsis
This paper is concerned with the experimental investigation of the effect of high-pressure air flow treatment on woven fabrics. The effectiveness of the treatment is shown. Fabric property data for the treated goods are reported. After the flow treatment, the softness, drape coefficient, air-permeability and handle of the fabric are improved. On the other hand, the tenacity of the treated fabric is degraded. This research reveals the possibility of obtaining a more comfortable fabric by using this technique.
