β¦ Synopsis
has been carrying out a program of research on driver behavior since 1966 under the general direction of S. W. Quenault. The principal reports on this program are listed and abstracted below; the reports themselves are available upon request from the Director of Road Research. Some Methods of Obtaining Information on Driver Behaviour (S. W. Quenault) RRL Report No. 25, 1966, pp. 11.
Four methods of obtaining information on driver behaviour are described. Reasons are given for preference for the check-list method over those in which the driver gives a running commentary on what he sees and how he re-acts to it and/or an observer gives a running commentary on the driver's behaviour.
