The (I$ configuration at C-l of nyasicoside and its derivatives was assigned by comparison of the Cotton effect with those of optically active phenylcarbinols, whereas the (2) configuration at C-2 was assigned by the application of the CD exciton chirality method for the dial his pbromobenzoates.
