Abstract
Based on the phenomenon of turbulence restraint in liquid‐vapor interface, an analytical model is proposed for annular flow with a velocity distribution. The liquid‐vapor interface affecting district mixing length model was amended, and a new liquid film convective evaporation heat transfer model at the annular flow was developed. Compared with the experimental data, the results show that the new model is better than the model based on full tube flow velocity distribution. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
