✦ Synopsis
We have investigated interfaces between chemically etched YBa2CugOT_, single cry. stals and evaporated thin films of different materials by means of planar tt and junctions with natural barriers. We have found that reproducible tunneling characteristics are obtained with Au, Bi and Sb counterclectrodes. Evidence for the local 1~ of the Y-Ba-Cu-O compound is observed in these junctions. Less pronounced structures are found in the case of Sn counterelectrodes while Ag and A1 junctions develop a large resistance peak at zero bias and low temperatures.
