โœฆ Synopsis

Measurements of 4He film flow rates taken with high resolution and rapatltlon rates have revealed a reproducible structure highly correlated wlth the llquld level meniscus posltlon. The details of this structure have been previously masked by a lack of experimental resolution.

Superfluid 3He film flow out of a copper4 beaker was measured without and then with a 'He coating on the copper surface. The effect zf the He was to convert the substrate from a purely diffuse to a purely specular surface for the He quasiparticles.
