✦ Synopsis

The Ninth Commission of CITCE, Organic Electrochemistry, was founded during the 15th Meeting of CITCE. At the same time, the title of Commission 1 was changed from "Diagrams of Electrochemical Equilibria" to "Electrochemical Thermodynamics" with the intention that the work of this Commission should in future cover the whole field of Electrochemical Thermodynamics.

The Chairman and Co-Chairmen of the Commission in its new form have not yet heen elected.

According to the decisions reached during the past year, CITCE is now an Associated Organization of the International Union of Pure and Applied ChemisWy. It has been agreed that the work of the previous IUPAC Sub-Commissions, dealing with electrochemical topics will in future be carried out by appro
