Benjamin Smith Lyman became life member of The Franklin Institute on December 12, 1890; he served on Board of Managers during the years 19o1-19o2; he was a member.of the Committee on Library from 1897 to June 19o4, and its Chairman in 19o3 and 19o4. He made five contributions to the JOURNAL.
