The Earth is about to be repossessed.
The paper work to do so is being filed, most of which is falsified. That little blue marble resting comfortably in the Milky Way became the center of cosmic popularity in the blink of an eye. The Central Core, a rather nefarious coalition of planets, rushes to claim the planet under their banner, thus giving them legal claim to its newly discovered resources.
Bartl and Taam Heezarian have other ideas. All they'll need to do is convince three humans to join up, or trick them into a voluntary kidnapping situation, against a multitude of nearly impossible obstacles. If they accomplish their goals, Earth will be returned to safety, a mythical planet will be saved, and the entire group recorded into intergalactic history for eternity. If they fail, well, it won't matter much to any of them since they'll all most likely be dead.
