✦ Synopsis
Letters to the Editor 227
Although Dr. Weissberg does not mention coronary angioplasty as a proper tool for this stimulation, he iterates that, money and time permitting, our attention should be shifted from lesions producing significant ischemia to lesions with a high propensity of causing myocardial infarction. In the absence of a reliable tool to identify these lesions, Dr. Kern's treasured proofs of ischemia will pinpoint at least some of the lesions we call mild lesions in strategical positions inviting plaque sealing.
After all, the fast drawing American interventional cardiologist and his equally fast drawing Dutch colleagues may be on the right track, albeit for all the wrong reasons.
