Finally, I think it would be important for the readers to understand why the authors decided to use cascaded (corporate-type) two-way sectorial structures to obtain the desired four-way combiner. It is well known that an intrinsic characteristic of the sectorial structure is its improved performance with larger number of output ports. Unless there are compelling reasons to select a cascaded structure one could realize the desired characteristics with far less complicated georne t ry .
