In his discussion on the above paper, Dr Bensted gave us unexpected and rare assurance about the line of research carried out jointly between the Universities of Naples and Potenza, Italy, and CSIRO DBCE, Australia, on special cements derived from industrial process wastes and by-products whose properties depend mainly on the formation of ettringite (C6AS3H32) and calcium silicate hydrates (C-S-H).
