Metastatic lesions to the orbit, although rare, appear to be increasing in frequency. In a significant number of these patients, ocular signs and symptoms are the first indicators of their disease. Optometrists need to be aware of the clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, and indicated medical work-up in order to properly diagnose and manage this challenging group of patients.
