✦ Synopsis

The most effective process for the pesticide removal from a raw water is the adsorption on activated carbon except for polar substances. Activated carbon can be used as powdered carbon or granular carbon. However in both processes it has to be taken into account that the efficiency of the activated carbon adsorption is affected by the origin and the concentration of the natural organic background in the raw water and the initial concentration of the pesticide itself.
